Swept Path Analysis

The item NSW councils most often send back. Included in CTMPs prepared to TS 05492:1.0 TCAWS.

Why do councils reject plans without this?

They need proof the largest vehicle can enter, turn and leave without hitting a kerb, parked car or opposing lane. Without drawings, many CTMPs are returned with an RFI.

What vehicle should we design for?

Use the largest vehicle you actually need. In denser LGAs that is often a 12.5 m Heavy Rigid Vehicle. Articulated vehicles and dog-trailers frequently need special approval.

Can you add this to an existing CTMP that was rejected?

Yes. Send the RFI comments and the current plan. In many cases the missing swept paths are the only reason it has not been approved.

How do I get a quote?

Call 0404 878 676 or send the suburb, access point and vehicle type. We can include swept paths inside a full CTMP or as a standalone drawing set.
