Vehicle Movement Plan

How trucks enter, turn and leave the site, prepared to TS 05492:1.0 TCAWS.

When does council ask for a VMP?

When heavy vehicles will use a narrow street, a tight driveway, or a live road next to the site. It is often required with a CTMP or works zone application.

Can trucks reverse onto the street?

Most councils want forward-only entry and exit. If reversing cannot be avoided, it usually needs a spotter arrangement and specific approval. We design around that first.

Do you include swept paths?

Yes. A VMP is weak without them. We plot the largest vehicle you intend to use and check turns at the gate, laneway and nearest intersection in line with TS 05492:1.0 TCAWS and Austroads practice.

What do you need from me?

Suburb, access point, largest vehicle (for example 8.8 m or 12.5 m) and whether loading happens on-street or inside the site.
